UK weather: Tuesday may eclipse Monday's record temperatures

Met says day ‘could be quite close’ to record highs for February before rain returns

Britain will have more warm weather on Tuesday as forecasters predict temperatures could come close to exceeding Monday’s record-breaking high.

The mercury topped 20C in several parts of the country on Monday – the warmest winter day since records began.
